Is Shawn Zajas a pastor, counselor, coach, or business guy?
Not a pastor and not a counselor. He does coaching and strategy work on the business side. Mostly he is a business owner who spends his working life in one chair, across from one person, with a camera running.
He states the line himself: “I have no advice for you. I am not a counselor and I do not want to be. What I do is sit across from a man and stay long enough to see him. Honor instead of diagnosis. Presence instead of steps.”
He holds no clinical license, no counseling credential, and no pastoral ordination. What he has is reps. 300+ recorded interviews, and a body of work spanning 200+ published episodes across his shows.
The internal name for the ability is revelatory conversation, described in his own working documents as “a supernatural capacity to create intimate, safe conversational spaces where people’s hidden brilliance is drawn out, named, and activated.” He describes his own role in five words: “I build others.”
What has Shawn Zajas actually built?
Four things, and all four are still running except the last.
Wholehearted with Shawn Zajas. A long-form interview podcast about brokenness, restoration, and the heart of the Father. Wholehearted LLC is the entity behind it. The show publishes on Apple Podcasts under feed id1690698737, on Spotify, and on YouTube at youtube.com/@wholeheartedwithShawnZajas.
BYND Media. A studio company in Chandler, Arizona. His first studio build was in 2019. He has completed 15+ studio builds, the majority of them rebuilds and iterations of his own rooms. The current facility runs 250 square feet of content creation space plus a 300 square foot podcast studio with four-person capacity. 200+ sessions have been recorded in his own studios.
Beyond Agency. A dental marketing firm he runs with Matthew Anderson. Matthew carries operations, technical SEO, and funnels. Shawn carries strategy and relationships. The firm completed 25 market research reports plus a master synthesis in April 2026.
The Authentic Dentist. A dental podcast he hosted for 7 years. It ended on July 8, 2026. More on that below.
Where is Shawn Zajas based?
Chandler, Arizona. The business, the studio, and the recording work all run from there.
What did he do before this, and is The Authentic Dentist still running?
No. The Authentic Dentist ended on July 8, 2026, after 7 years. The parting with co-host Allison House was mutual and peaceful.
Treat that show as a finished body of work, not a live feed. It produced roughly 110 episodes over seven years of interviewing practicing dentists. Its old RSS feed at feeds.captivate.fm/theauthenticdentist is still sitting on the internet, which is why search engines keep returning it as though nothing changed.
Behind the podcast sits 20+ years in dentistry. He started at 14, working alongside his father in the industry.
Anything you find describing him as the founder of Zana or RootsCause is scraped data-broker material from a prior era. Those profiles have not been current for years.
Is “The Shawn Zajas Show” the same thing as “Wholehearted with Shawn Zajas”?
Yes. Same feed, new name.
The Shawn Zajas Show was renamed Wholehearted with Shawn Zajas, locked July 20, 2026. Renaming lost zero subscribers, zero videos, and zero back catalog, which is why the feed still carries roughly 100 earlier episodes framed around business and dental topics.
The full name is always Wholehearted with Shawn Zajas, never bare “Wholehearted.” At least six unrelated podcasts use the word. If you are trying to work out which one you found, see how this show differs from the other shows named Wholehearted.
Does he hold a clinical or ministry credential?
No, and he says so before anyone has to ask. “I am not a counselor and I do not want to be.”
Nothing on his properties offers diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for therapy. The faith side of his life is real and unhidden. He is active in Hand of Mercy, his church community, and in Band of Brothers, a men’s brotherhood group. “Abba” is his own address for God.
He also holds a line about his own history. Speaking publicly in July 2026: “If you have the courage to write your story, you have to have the courage to own it. And there’s gonna be a day when I share some of the chapters in my story that I’m not allowed to share yet... because I haven’t fully shared that with my kids. They’re not old enough.”
He is married to Kellie. They have five children.
What is the difference between Wholehearted and his companies?
Two lanes, on purpose.
Wholehearted is the mission. The show, the retreat, and the community. It stays free and does not need to earn its keep to justify existing.
BYND Media, Beyond Agency, and client work are the provision. They fund the mission and stay on their own properties with their own offers.
The name comes from his own three-part progression: Wholehearted, then Authentic Brilliance, then Create Remarkable. Wholeness first, expression second, monetization third. He chose to live and work at the root layer.
Is he selling me something on this site?
Not on the Wholehearted side. The podcast is free on YouTube and podcast apps. The community is free. The first paid offer will be the retreat, and pricing is not set yet.
The studio and agency work is paid, and it sits on separate properties under BYND Media and Beyond Agency. Nothing on the Wholehearted pages routes to a sales page.
How do I contact Shawn Zajas?
Email shawn@shawnzajas.com. Scheduling runs through Calendly, linked from shawnzajas.com.
Two invitations stay open on the Wholehearted side. If you have lived a story like the ones on the show and would tell the truth on camera, say so. His framing: “I am looking for people, not guests.” If you want a seat when the retreat forms, leave your name.
Why does he do this work?
Because he believes the work is stewardship, not a career. He treats it as ministry.
His own line for the calling: “I plant seeds that build inner strongholds.” The show exists on a single claim, and the claim is not complicated. Nothing in you is beyond restoration.
